about

What do we need to take life as it comes? And why does it seem so hard, to accept it? The song basically wrote itself following some sad news I received about a family member, unveiling thoughts and reflections about life. It's a call to embrace what we have and make the best out of it, especially when living in such a privileged environment as Germany.
(Andreas Oetker-Kast)

lyrics

What will it take

What will it take, what will it take
for us to realize
What will it take, say what will it take
for us to see

Life is a challenge, life is a gift
wrapped in dreams and time and fact
but if all we do is wait and see
we will forget
that this is it

What will it take, what will it take
for us to realize
What will it take, say what will it take
for us to see

Love is a challenge, love is a gift
wrapped in heartbeat, routine and dreams
But if we’re looking for the perfect deal
we‘re losing sight
for what is real

It takes courage to tackle life
takes commitment to embrace love
It takes compassion to be there
when every day we‘re asked to give
It takes time to understand
it takes patience to succeed
It takes the will to go beyond
when every day we‘re asked to live

What will it take, what will it take
for us to realize
What will it take, say what will it take
for us to see

What will it take, what will it take
for us to realize
What will it take, say what will it take
for us to see
